Our Little Sunshine!

Evan went for his 6 month check up last week and boy has he grown. He weighed 19 pounds 13.5 ounces and was 26 1/2 inches. Everyone thought he would be at least 20 pounds but not quite yet. Believe me he is not missing any meals. After his appointment, I took him to the Horseshoe and showed him where Mommy and Daddy got married. And of course I never miss a picture opportunity so we took some fun pictures. He loved the grass and all the dogs running around. Maybe one day he'll be a Gamecock!

We're in our last week of swimming lessons and he has really enjoyed it. Not only does he get to spend time with Landen but he loves watching all the other children. He has really gotten use to the pool and he enjoys every minute of it. We'll be sad that its over but we'll continue to swim at Grandmama and Grandaddy's pool this summer.

Jimmy enjoyed his 1st Father's Day watching golf and spending time with the family. Evan wore his son of a superdad shirt and he looked so cute. I'll post pics of that later. I haven't had time to upload them yet but I will real soon. Here are some pics to tie you all over until then.

Summer Days

So we have spent the last few weeks in the pool it seems. Evan started swimming lessons at the YMCA and he loves it. He gets to enjoy it with his best friend, Landen, and they both are having a blast. Evan is not afraid of the water and has really taken to the pool. He loves splashing, floating and kicking his legs. I think he's a natural! Look out Michael Phelps!

Here are some pics from the past few weeks. As usual he is growing and changing every day. It's so hard to believe he is 6 months old already!

I could not ask for more!

So Evan continues to grow and change every day. We were just saying how much he has changed in the last week. He no longer looks like a little baby, he is starting to look like a little boy. His 2 teeth are shining through and we think he has more on the way. He is quite the drool monster these days.

Evan got to attend his second baseball game last weekend and witness a sweep of the Bulldogs! Go Cocks! It was so hot and he definitely has his daddy's genes. They were both sweating up a storm.

Everyone got together for Memorial Day this past weekend including Evan's little girlfriend, Landen. We had a good time hanging by the pool in between rain showers. Evan really enjoys being outside. The pool is still a little chilly so we haven't tried it out yet but hopefully real soon. Evan is going to start swimming lessons next week and that should be fun. I can't wait to see if he likes it or not. I'm sure he will since he loves the bath tub.

Our house is close to completion and we should be getting the final inspection either this week or the next. Which means we'll be moving in soon! Can't wait for everyone to see it when we get it all together. Here are some pics from the baseball game and Memorial Day. Enjoy!

My 1st Mother's Day!

So last weekend I celebrated my 1st Mother's Day and it was awesome. Evan and Jimmy gave me a table for our foyer and a cute mommy plaque. It was so sweet, I tried real hard to hold back the tears. We also celebrated Aunt Laura's graduation from grad school. Congrats Aunt Laura, we'll miss you while you are in Birmingham. Here are some pics from Mother's Day and graduation. Enjoy!

5 months old! Wow, time flies!

So Evan turned 5 months old this past Saturday and he is still growing like a weed. He had 2 teeth come in at the same time on the bottom and they look so cute. I love his big smile with those 2 little teeth. Too cute! He's now eating baby food and loves it. I have to get a video on here of him eating because with every bite he says ummmmm! It's so funny. I'm thinking of sending it to Gerber and maybe we can get a commercial or something. He's trying to sit up and wants to touch and grab EVERYTHING! We are in for a mess when he starts crawling! I'll never get anything done because I'll be chasing him everywhere. He got an outdoor swing this past weekend and has really enjoyed it so far. Maybe this rain will stop soon so we can enjoy it more. Here are some new pics! As usual there are lots! :)

Another fun weekend!

Well, Evan got to experience another fun filled weekend last week. Evan and I got to enjoy a Gamecock baseball game in the new stadium. He had a blast, he wouldn't even take a nap. He met Cocky again and loved him. He couldn't keep his hands off of his beak. The new stadium is beautiful and we can't wait to go back for another game in May for PawPaw's birthday.

On Sunday, we went to church at Second Baptist and got to see some old friends. Evan made it through the whole church service without even a wimper. He is such a good baby! Then, we spent the rest of the day at MeeMaw's and PawPaw's.

Here are some new pics, I can't put the camera down!

Our fun filled weekend!

Evan got to experience his 1st USC game this weekend and he had a ball. He loved tailgating, checking out the cheerleaders(Daddy's proud of that), the band and of course, Cocky. He had so much fun, that when we got back to the car he went to sleep. He was such a good baby and we all enjoyed it. He got to meet the whole tailgating crew and all of his "aunts" and "uncles". We tease and say he is going to be so confused with all of these aunts and uncles one day.

Evan also had his 1st Easter this past weekend and he looked so cute in his bunny bubble. (thanks Jennifer) He really enjoyed his easter basket, he dug right in when I gave it to him. We went to church, enjoyed a wonderful lunch, watched the masters and went for a walk. It was a very relaxing day and a great day to reflect on why we celebrate Easter. Evan even got a book in his basket to tell him the meaning of Easter. He also got a bunny that sings Jesus loves me and he loves it. Every time we play it he laughs.

We continue to be blessed and thank god everyday for such a sweet baby boy!
