Wow, a lot has happened since my last post. From Evan's 2nd birthday to Christmas to the new year, we have been so busy. So that explains why I have been such a slacker. Evan's tractor party was a huge success. He as well as all of our family and friends had a wonderful time. I would have to say the hayride was the highlight for everyone. Just seeing Evan's face and him jumping up and down saying go made all the planning and hard work worth it all. However, it is still so hard to believe that our little boy is 2! Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday he came into our lives and brought us so much joy! He continues to amaze us and surprise us each day in everything he does.
Christmas was a lot of fun for us this year. We began the tradition of the "Elf on the Shelf" with Evan and he had a lot of fun with that everyday leading up to Christmas. Our elf was named "Buddy" and he helped keep Evan in line right up until Christmas when he had to fly back to the North Pole to stay with Santa until next year. We look forward to doing that each year with Evan. Evan really got the whole Christmas morning thing this year with Santa. He will tell everyone to this day that Santa brought him a "choo choo" and a "pitar" (guitar). However, he is not much of a fan of Santa in person. So needless to say we didn't get a Santa picture this year. Oh well, maybe next year.
