A Little Behind....

Sorry its taken me so long to do a post. Things have been crazy around our house and at work lately so I have let the blog take the back burner. Evan is still growing and changing every day! Jimmy made the comment the other day when Evan was napping that we don't have a baby anymore. I wanted to cry but he's right, we have a little boy now. I'm reminded of that so many times every day when I look at him. His looks seem to change so often these days. Annette says there are certain times when he looks like his Paw Paw Clyde and you know my Dad eats that up. I still see Jimmy and David in him everyday and there are certain looks he can give and I think he looks like me! So we like to say he is a good mix of both of our families.

He now has 14 teeth which is amazing! He has 8 on top and 6 on the bottom. Its a good thing because the child loves chicken! He is definitely a meat and potatoes boy! I hope he outgrows this picky stage really soon.

This Sunday he will be baptized at Edgemoor ARP church. We have been meaning to do this for while but time just kept slipping away. We are looking forward to a great day with family and friends. I'll post pics as soon as possible. Here are a few from our snow a couple of weeks ago and some good ones showing all those teeth!

WALKING!!!!

Evan is now walking all over the place and boy is he fast!!! He is still kind of doing the zombie walk but it is so cute. He walks with his arms straight out in front of him and talks the whole way. Jimmy and I say if talks as much as he babbles right now, we are in trouble! Here are some pics from the past few weeks!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Christmas has come and gone and we survived!!! This year was so much different than the last, Evan actually could enjoy Christmas. Last year he slept thought it all!

Our Christmas started by celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. We enjoyed a candlelighting ceremony and communion on Christmas Eve at a local church. Evan almost made it through the whole service, just the last 20 minutes or so was too much for him. Nothing a little juice and goldfish couldn't solve! :)

Christmas morning was so much fun. Evan really liked everything Santa left him, even the New Balance tennis shoes. He looks like such a big boy in them! Once again we are digging out from under all the toys and clothes he got for Christmas. We just recovered from the birthday and now we are trying to find a place for everything to go again. I think he is not sure what to play with next and of course he will probably be the best dressed little boy.

Here are some pics from Christmas!

Evan's 1st Birthday Party!

Sorry it has taken me so long to update on the party, but we have been busy little bees with Christmas and everything else. Evan really had a very special 1st birthday party surrounded by lots of family and friends. He is so lucky to have been born into both of our families and to be surrounded by so many people that love him. He is truly a blessing to Jimmy and I and we are so proud to be his parents. Here are some pics from the party, Enjoy!

Evan's 1!!!!

So our sweet little boy turned one on Wednesday! I'm still in total shock that he is one already. When I look back at baby pictures, it amazes me how much he has changed and grown. About 8:30 Tues night, Jimmy and I reminisced about where we were and what we were going through last year at that time. We are so happy to have a happy healthy boy with us today a whole year later. He has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives and I know he will continue to do that every day.

Due to the rainy day, we spent the day just hanging out and playing. That evening, we went to dinner with our family and Evan got to enjoy his 1st birthday cake. He loved it! I can't wait for the party on Sunday so he can dig in again. Here are some pics from Wednesday and I'll post more after the party on Sunday.
